I use the crockpot all the time because it is just too easy! When convenience and health come together is makes for pure joy… and relief. This recipe makes for multiple servings to enjoy throughout the week, so healthy choices can be made easier.
- 1lb Ground Turkey
- 1 28 oz. can Crushed Tomatoes
- 1 15 oz. can Kidney Beans drained and rinsed
- 2 tbsp. tomato paste
- 2 bell peppers ( I use one green, one red)
- 2-3 Jalapeño peppers
- Hot sauce of choice
- Desired Seasonings ( I use Tony’s, Chili Powder and himalayan pink salt)
- Desired Toppings
First cook the turkey with desired seasonings. While cooking the turkey, start cutting up all the peppers and add them to the crockpot. When the turkey is ready, add it to the crockpot along with the crushed tomatoes, drained/rinsed kidney beans and 2 tbs. of tomato paste. Add in the desired amount of hot sauce, I use about 2 tbsp or more, and desired seasonings.
Mix it all up and cook on high for 4 hours. Use desired toppings and save the rest for quick easy meals throughout the week!
